Sometimes email services block emails sent from websites as they are sent using PHP rather than SMTP. Technical stuff, but don't worry. If this is a problem, we can set it up so that all notification emails, contact form emails etc from your website get sent using SMTP, by using a valid email address.

The best and easiest way is to create a free account at https://www.brevo.com/pricing/ , and we use that SMTP service It is extremely reliable and has high deliverability.

Please signup to that service and complete the account verification steps (email verification) and the phone verification step - most important you do that one. Once you have completed that and entered your business details, please share your brevo username and password with us so we can connect to the site.

We can also use your email service, which is a little more complicated. To do this we require the following information, which you may need to contact your email service provider for:

  • a valid email address to send from
  • the password for that email address
  • the outgoing smtp mail server name
  • the port that the smtp server uses
  • if there is security used (eg TLS, STARTTLS, none)
  • if authentication is used (eg login, plain, none)

Depending on who your provider is, there may be additional things they need to do, such as whitelisting the website IP address etc. Once we are supplied all of this information we can make the change and this should fix the issue but not always! If this fails to work it is outside our control as ultimately we can only guarantee that the email gets sent, not that it is received.
